It was any other Sunday in Port Washington, NY.  The August sun had shone for most of the day, the humidity couldn't have been more moderate.  However, there was a dilemma in the mind of a local Port Washington resident.  It was the birthday event for a neighbor, and getting some kind of a cake, pastry, or a sweet delight was the issue at hand.

Looking through the Internet searches and calling landline phones, eventually a bakery was found that was open at this late Sunday hour.  To much surprise, Main Street Bakery was open only because the master and celebrity chef Michael Mignano said it was open even past closing hours.

Upon arrival at the Main Street Bakery, Mr. Mignano was a pleasant and charming gentleman, who offered to help as much as he could.  Realizing that it was a child's birthday, he offered many goodies without charge.  He also threw in a bunch of bread items and even more goodies.

Michael Mignano is a celebrity chef who has appeared on the Food Channel, Oprah and many other media broadcasts.  His works of delicous and sweet tooth based art can be found at the Main Street Bakery in Port Washington, NY at 170 Main Street.
